Nick graduated from Moscow Physiotech in Russia in 1993. He received his Ph.D. in Physics in Prof. Sean Barrett's lab at Yale University in 1999. Subsequently, Nick was awarded the Robert Dicke post-doctoral fellowship at Princeton University, where he worked with Prof. William Happer from 1999 to 2005. Nick was on faculty in the Biomedical Engineering Department at the University of Rochester until 2010, when he joined the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania in Radiology (Functional & molecular imaging group).
Nick brings a unique physics and statistics background to programming and digital data processing of rodent EEG signals.
